About Mark F. Klaff, O.D.
Dr. Mark F. Klaff grew up in Houston and attended Bellaire High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston in 1980 and received his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1982. After receiving his doctorate, Dr. Klaff did an external rotation in San Antonio, TX at Brook Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, where he saw active duty, retired, and dependents of the United States Armed Forces. Dr. Klaff then joined the practice of his father and uncle, Drs. Murray and Daniel Klaff, where he practiced primary care and contact lenses until his father’s retirement in 2004. After his father’s retirement, Dr. Klaff took over the practice until 2009 when he then joined Houston Eye Associates. Dr. Klaff joined Houston Eye Associates after 27 years in private practice in Bellaire and has experience in primary care, contact lens fittings, and therapeutic optometry.
Dr. Klaff is certified in the treatment and management of ocular diseases. He has also been a member of several professional organizations including the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Society where he previously served as president. Dr. Klaff was also voted as the Best Optometrist of 2015 by the readers of The Examiner magazine.
Dr. Klaff and his wife, Marsha, have been married for 38 years. They have three children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys photography and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
