    About Ravi Shah, M.D.

    Dr. Ravi Shah attended Rice University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Managerial Studies. From there, he spent a year as a research assistant at the Baylor College of Medicine Stimulant Addiction Research Program. Upon finishing his research assistant role, he earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine where he graduated with high honors. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha as a junior. “AOA” is a national medical honor society that promotes and recognizes excellence in the medical profession.

    After finishing medical school, Dr. Shah moved to Los Angeles, California where he completed his Internal Medicine internship at White Memorial Medical Center in Boyle Heights. After this year-long internship, he started his Ophthalmology residency at the Roski Eye Institute at the University of Southern California. Here, Dr. Shah served as the chief resident during his final year and joined the Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmologists. Dr. Shah also received the Senior Resident Teaching award.

    Following his chief residency, Dr. Shah moved back to Texas where he began his fellowship at the Cullen Eye Institute of Baylor College of Medicine. This is where Dr. Shah specialized in Cornea, Refractive, and Anterior Segment Surgery.

    Dr. Shah has been published in seven highly noted peer-reviewed articles, two book chapters, numerous peer-reviewed encyclopedia entries, and two non-peer-reviewed articles.

    Dr. Shah sees patients at our Pearland and League City locations.
